Food Drive Ends with Red Noses and 100s of Pounds of Donations

The results are in after a two week food drive competition between our two stores.  Who could collect the most Peanut Butter, Jelly and boxed Mac and Cheese for the Port Angeles Food Bank?

Squeaking out a tight victory was Hartnagel Building Supply whose collected food items guaranteed them the avoidance of clown decor.  Angeles Millwork employees will have to wear red noses for the duration of Friday the 22nd of February as was the agreed wager consequence.

The real winner is the Port Angeles Food Bank.  The donated food combined to weigh over 850# and should go far in restocking the most popular foods.

All our employee owners would like to express their appreciation to our customers who donated food items and a huge thank you to our professional contractors who contributed major donations and cash towards the food drive.

This was truly a community effort!

The Port Angeles Food Bank is a community food bank that served 21,099 individuals in 2017.  They provide supplemental food to families, individuals, children, veterans, senior citizens, and anyone in between.  The focus of their hunger relief work is captured in their mission, which is simply; Nourishing Our Community.

Be sure and join us February of 2020 for another food drive with a potential greater wager, as we look to surpass our food drive totals for 2019. Do you have a fun suggestion for a wager between our two stores?  Let us know about it by submitting them to Josh Bergesen at his email
